Jake was born and raised in Kitchener, ON, and was born again in his early teens while
attending a youth convention, where he was convicted of his sin and trusted in Christ for
salvation. During training as a firefighter, the Lord used the counsel of Christian leaders
and the conviction of the Spirit to compel Jake to pursue vocational ministry and “save
others by snatching them out of the fire” (Jude 23). After completing a six-month
missionary training program in East Africa, Jake returned home to study at Redeemer
University and Heritage College & Seminary (BRE, MDiv). Jake served previously at
churches in Kitchener, Ancaster, and Burlington as a pastoral intern, associate pastor,
and volunteer elder. In 2025, Jake was called to be the Senior Pastor of Streetsville
Baptist Church. He and his wife Bryn, have four young children: Silas, James, Jude, and
Lydia. They are eager to see God’s Kingdom come through the preaching of the Gospel
in Streetsville and beyond!
